Since 2007 Maldives portal succeeded in introducing several tools and services. Here we are now introduce “Maldives on the Web” project with new inspirations and determinations as a successor to Maldives Portal. MOTW will be home for a new Tech blog; a place to engage in technology discussion, be updated of local tech news, focusing on new tools and services trending in the Maldivian community.

There are several Maldivian blogs out there in the web. A handful of them feature tech articles and posts. There are a dozen of registered print and on-line news providers and magazines which feature technology segments. However there are nearly no blogs or news agency or magazine out there which features local startups, new website, developers and developments, local tech news, gadgets or tools, talented tech personalities. Or one place to get up-to date information and everything that’s happening in the local technology spectrum. In due time MOTW will definitely become the one stop provider of local tech updates.

We are also introducing MOTW as a platform for local tech writers to share their opinions and contribute to the growing technology industry in the Maldives.
